MetaRelax™ is great tasting and helps to relieve the symptoms of stress, supports a heathy stress response and neuroendocrine function. It contains Meta Mag® - Magnesium bisglycinate, an exclusive form of magnesium with enhanced bioavailability as well as taurine, potassium citrate, vitamin B6 and vitamin C.
MetaRelax™ helps nervous system function by assisting synthesis of neurotransmitters, which are chemical messengers in the brain and central nervous system and are involved in the body’s stress response.
A double-blind, placebo-controlled trial demonstrated that a daily intake of 6g of taurine effectively inhibits the stress-induced release of adrenaline, highlighting taurine's role in stress management. The synergy of magnesium, B vitamins, vitamin C, and zinc is crucial for regulating the stress response, acting as cofactors in neurotransmitter synthesis.
Zinc is vital for modulating the stress response and has been linked to feelings of anxiety. Acute stress elevates serum glucocorticoids and induces metallothionein synthesis, reducing serum zinc levels.
