Rooibos (pronounced ROY-bos) means “red bush” and is a native herb harvested from South Africa’s Cedarburg Mountains. A uniquely delicious cup of tea, Kintra Organic Rooibos is a light and smooth African tea that is rich in antioxidants and contains essential minerals including iron, zinc and calcium to support a healthy diet.
Rooibos tea is caffeine free so you can enjoy it any time of day. It is a great alternative for those trying to reduce caffeine consumption from day to day or keen to try something new.
Prepare Rooibos tea in a similar way to how you would prepare a cup of black tea. Leave to steep for longer for a fuller flavour and serve it as is or with a dash of milk and honey. For a refreshing summer beverage try Rooibos tea chilled with ice cubes. The sweet yet earthy flavour of our organic Roobios makes for a light and jubilant caffeine free cup of tea.
Hot Tea
- Place filter back into a cup
- Pour boiling water into cups.
- Infuse for at least 1-2 minutes. Longer infusion releases fuller flavour and herbal benefits.
Ice Tea
- For 1 litre of delicous iced tea, pour 500ml of boiling water over 3 teabags and leave until your preferred strength.
- Add sugar, lemon or honey while hot.
- Add 500ml of cold water and refrigerate.
- Serve with ice and fresh fruit if desired.
