The walnuts and pecans included in the mix have been activated via a traditional activation process (using a small amount of fresh whey in the soak) which transforms their taste by banishing bitterness, making them a whole lot sweeter! 

All ingredients are certified organic and all nuts and seeds are activated. Why activated? Nuts and seeds contain phytic acid that may interact with digestion and absorption, so by activating seeds - a process of long soaking them and then dehydrating them this reduces the phytates.
