Ceres Organics Bulghur Wheat is a hearty, nutty, and nourishing addition to your meals. Made from parboiled durum wheat that’s dried and cracked into pieces, it’s super easy to prepare – simply boil the jug! Perfect for salads, bowls, soups and more!
Traditionally used to make the much loved middle eastern dish, tabbouleh, the light, nutty flavour of Bulghur Wheat also makes it an excellent alternative to rice or as more nutritious version of your usual stuffings.
To cook:
- Rinse well. Add 1 cup of Bulghur Wheat to 1 1/2 cups of boiling water in a a heat proof bowl or pot.
- Cover and leave to absorb for about 10-12 minutes.
- Drain any excess water.
- Fluff up with a fork and enjoy.
