Pearl has been documented in Chinese pharmacopoeias since the Shennong Ben Cao Jing as both an internal tonic and topical preparation.
Teelixir's Pearl Beauty Tonic is made from freshwater pearl powder, micronised to a fine particle size for optimal absorption. Freshwater pearls naturally contain calcium carbonate (>90%), along with amino acids (including glycine, alanine, and aspartic acid), trace minerals, and conchiolin protein, the organic protein matrix that gives pearls their lustre.
