Prenatal Methyl contains 5-methyltetrahydrofolate (5-MTHF), a biologically active form of folate which supports a healthy pregnancy and healthy fetal development.
It also contains zinc which supports reproductive system health and preconception health in healthy males and females.
- Contains a complete multivitamin for women AND men in preconception.
- Contains a complete multivitamin for women throughout pregnancy and breastfeeding.
- Does NOT contain iron.
- Contains biologically active folate.
- Folate is required for DNA Synthesis, making it crucial for cell division.
- Both Vitamin B12 and folate are necessary for the synthesis of both RNA and DNA and as such is essential for proper celluar division and transmission of the genetic code to all newly formed cells.
- B12 is an important cofactor in the maintenance of normal DNA synthesis.
Adults (Males and Females): Take 3 capsules once per day, with water.
Label Warnings
Advise your doctor of any medicine you take during pregnancy, particularly in your first trimester. This medicine contains selenium which is toxic in high doses. A daily dose of 150 micrograms for adults of selenium from dietary supplements should not be exceeded. Do not take while on warfarin therapy without medical advice. Stop taking this medication if you experience tingling, burning or numbness and see your healthcare practitioner as soon as possible (contains Vitamin B6). Vitamins and minerals can only be of assistance if dietary intake is inadequate.
